YouTube Subscribe Link Generator
Paste your @handle and get a link that opens your channel with the subscribe box already open, plus the HTML and Markdown versions.
Why this small change matters
A normal channel link drops someone on your page and leaves the rest to them. They have to find the subscribe button, which sits in a different place on mobile, desktop and the app. Every extra step loses a share of the people who meant to do it.
The confirmation link removes that step. It is the same link big channels use in their descriptions, and it is nothing more than one query parameter, so there is no service to sign up for and nothing that can stop working.
Frequently asked questions
How does a one click subscribe link work?+
Adding ?sub_confirmation=1 to your channel URL tells YouTube to open the channel with the subscribe confirmation dialogue already on screen. The viewer still has to confirm, so nobody is subscribed without agreeing.
Does it work on phones?+
Yes. On a device with the YouTube app installed the link usually opens in the app with the same dialogue. In a browser it opens the channel page with the prompt showing.
Where should I use it?+
In video descriptions, in your website's footer, in a newsletter, or anywhere you would otherwise write 'subscribe to my channel'. It removes one step from a process that already loses people.
Can I ask people to subscribe in the video itself?+
Yes, and it works. What is not allowed under YouTube's policies is making something conditional on subscribing, like a giveaway entry that requires it, which falls under engagement baiting.
